The last financial report for The Real Greek indicated an operating loss of £3.6 million, prompting owners to consider appointing administrators before the rescue deal was finalized.

Fulham Shore, which owns both The Real Greek and the Franco Manca chain, is implementing these closures as part of a wider restructuring program. The deal was finalized following the administration of Toridoll, Fulham Shore’s parent company.

Marcel Khan, a representative from Karali Group, stated that “the transaction will ensure that the business is placed on a more sustainable footing for the future.” This sentiment underscores the urgency for stability amid ongoing economic pressures in the hospitality sector.

Toridoll acknowledged that high levels of inflation in the UK have created a more challenging operating environment than anticipated due to rising energy and food prices along with increased labor costs.

Paul Berkovi remarked on the collaboration with The Real Greek’s management team to secure a future for a brand enjoyed by diners for many years. Despite these challenges, efforts are being made to support affected colleagues during this transition.
