Bayern Munich have ruled out pursuing Marcus Rashford despite his successful loan spell at Barcelona. The English forward has made a significant impact during his time in La Liga, but Bayern’s focus has shifted elsewhere.
Rashford joined Barcelona on loan after struggling for game time at Manchester United under former manager Ruben Amorim. Since his arrival, he has scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists across all competitions, including seven goals in 28 La Liga appearances.
As the season progresses, Bayern Munich has confirmed they are prioritizing a move for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon. Christian Falk reported that there are no plans to turn their attention to Rashford unless a deal for Gordon falls through.
Rashford’s current loan agreement with Barcelona includes an option for the Spanish club to make the deal permanent for €30 million (£26 million). However, the decision to trigger this option remains uncertain as the season approaches its end.
Michael Carrick, Manchester United’s manager, has left the door open for Rashford to return if Barcelona does not secure him permanently. He stated, “There are decisions to be made on certain things, and Marcus is in that situation.”
