Matt King, known for his role as Super Hans in the cult comedy series Peep Show, revealed he suffered a rare spinal stroke that left him temporarily paralyzed. The incident occurred shortly before his hospitalization at The Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
King, who is currently 58 years old, shared details about his health struggles on social media. He explained, “It’s true. I had a rare stroke of the spinal cord on Sunday.” He expressed gratitude towards the hospital staff and fans for their support during this challenging time.
A spinal stroke is an uncommon condition, accounting for only 1.25 percent of all strokes. This rare medical event initially left King with significant mobility issues. He stated, “I was initially paralysed but was rushed to The Royal Sussex and the staff have been amazing.” Fortunately, he has since regained some ability to walk.
