This development comes as Arsenal, who were also pursuing Rogers, are now expected to confirm the signing of Christos Tzolis. Chelsea’s acquisition of Rogers, an England international, is said to be nearing official confirmation. The club is also reportedly in discussions with Crystal Palace regarding a move for central defender Maxence Lacroix. According to one report, securing Lacroix could cost Chelsea around £55m.

While Chelsea are making moves, Arsenal continue their pursuit of Bruno Guimaraes. Additionally, Nico Williams has reportedly re-emerged as a target for the Premier League champions. The Gunners had initially missed out on Rogers, making their focus on other targets more pronounced.
